Carl Elsammak

Starting out from the bond floor at Lehman in 1989, Carl has spent his career focusing on execution, research, and risk management. Following Lehman he traded for large Hedge Funds and CTAs, then in the mid-1990’s he leveraged his early experience to acquire a trading position on Bank of America’s FX Option desk in New York, where he exceeded his budgeted revenue by over 50% each year. By 2000, Carl recognized the direction the retail side was headed. He founded Kammas & Company Inc. in 2002 to consult for Retail Forex Brokers and Hedge Funds both domestically and in Europe. As of 2010, Kammas manages over $50 Billion in FX and metals flows per month, and continues to grow at a healthy pace. Carl holds a degree in Finance from Albright College and has been a registered CTA (NFA Series 3) since 1991.


Geoff Gowey

Geoff Gowey has had a very successful career in the foreign exchange market spanning 30 years as a trader and manager. Geoff has successfully and profitably managed the trading operations for some of the largest banks in the world, including Societe Generale and Banque National de Paris. He has also served as Vice-President of the Financial Markets Association (Forex USA). Geoff joined Kammas in 2005.


John Hanly

John Hanly joined Kammas in 2005 after a successful 25 year career working for banks such as Bank Austria, West Deutsche Landesbank and BNZ. With his extensive contact network across all money centers, John continues to stay in touch with the inter- bank market and brings fresh ideas to the Kammas team, for the benefit of our clients. John holds an Honors degree from Rutgers University.


Michael Wootton, CFA

Mike Wootton holds an MBA from Columbia University, and spent 20 years working for Bank of New York managing both sales and global risk management services. An expert in information and hedging strategies with a strong background in options, he has earned a CFA charter. Mike joined Kammas in 2004.


Richard Ashe

Richard Ashe has been in the FX market since 1987, working for Commerzbank in both New York and Frankfurt. An expert in forecast models, as well as risk management, Richard has also been involved with non-FX markets. Richard holds a BA in Economics from Wake Forest, and brought his solid diverse experience to Kammas in 2006.
